Brookield is a GREAT PLACE TO LAND!!
The Brookfield Area Chamber of Commerce is a vibrant, energetic, non-profit organization dedicated to developing, promoting, and protecting the business and civic interests as well as the general welfare of the city of Brookfield. By way of the Chamber’s efforts, there are a very wide variety of events, organizations and businesses that make Brookfield, and the surrounding area, a fantastic place to live, work and play!
The Chamber was founded in 1938 and is governed by an elected nine-member board of directors. An executive director serves as the administrative officer and oversees the daily operation and community-wide promotion of the organization. Over 150 businesses and individuals dedicated to the growth and prospering of Brookfield are members. The Chamber continuously works closely with local and area businesses seeking ways to improve the local economy.
For example, the Brookfield Bucks Program, to date, has generated over $50,000 exclusively for the Brookfield area. Visitors and people interested in relocating to our community turn to the Chamber for information about lodging, rental housing, parks, banks, restaurants, churches, local government, real estate agents, and more. One lady expecting family to visit even called our organization to see if the city is pet-friendly!
Community members enjoy the numerous local Chamber-sponsored events throughout the year such as auto shows, Octoberfest, concerts, park vendor fairs, member banquets, and seasonal celebrations. These events create a sense of community and are an essential part of Brookfield's identity and growth.
Anyone interested in participating in Chamber-sponsored events, becoming a Chamber member, or simply needing information about our organization can call 660-258-7255. Being a business-owner is not a requirement for joining the Chamber. Numerous individuals committed to the ongoing success of Brookfield are members. They care. We Care.
